Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

The 5th Annual Family Life Center Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

event will be held on October 1, 2016, at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. Start shining your shoes and gathering your team now

as we will have a trophy for the walker with the most "swag"

and the team with the most walkers, among others. 

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the Walk beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Family Life Center


The mission of the Family Life Center is to end the perpetration of Domestic and Sexual Violence throughout our community through proactive programs that provide protection, intervention, education, and prevention.


The Family Life Center is a private not-for-profit social service organization providing no-cost services to individuals and families experiencing Domestic or Sexual Violence. We are committed to meeting the needs of the community and recognizing the specific challenges faced by those in rural areas of Flagler County.


Operating with the premise "Peace Begins at Home," the Family Life Center strives to create an environment of safe and harmonious co-existence among families residing within its facility and throughout the Flagler County community, while providing an empowerment based model of help that is self-directed by the survivor.

The Family Life Center accepts qualified individuals and families into programs, provides program services, and makes room assignments without regard to race, color, national origin, Limited English Proficiency, hearing impairment, disability, sexual preference, age or racial composition.


The Family Life Center translates all vital documents for Limited English Proficiency individuals and groups. The Family Life Center provides residents with their rights and responsibilities in the language they understand.


The Family Life Center will provide accommodations, including American Sign Language interpreters, assisted listening devices, alternative formats of printed materials and real-time captioning upon request for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or are living with disabilities.  To ensure accommodations for scheduled events, please make your request within 7 days prior to the event to Nicole Jobson at nicole@familylifecenterflagler.org.
